The Dosem "Winds" religion is mostly united under the Council of the Dawning, but splinter groups have arised from time to time. Listed below are summaries of the Council, as well as the major known splinter groups. This text does not cover any factions that align to the other Dosem and non-Dosem religions.
Council of the Dawning
Membership: Democratic election
Length of Service: Lifetime
Requirements: Pure or mostly Dosem heritage, active practice of the faith, attendance
at Council (exceptions made).
Body Goals: To encourage the fair exchange of personal experience and knowledge to those who will accept and respect it. Maintenance of the Dosem Religion through the addition of new figures into the Dosem Mythos and its ancillary works. The core of the Dosem religion is classified under this category.
Will of the Winds
Membership: Indoctrination, Recruitment
Length of Service: Lifetime
Requirements: Loyalty oath to the group, feverent belief in the Four Winds. Must be of pure Dosem
blood.
Body Goals: To actively foster the will of the Four Winds as interpreted by group and local leaders.
Internalists
Membership: Not required
Length of Service: As desired
Requirements: Pure Dosem heritage, eager in faith and to the cause, extensive knowledge of the
Mythos.
Body Goals: Dosem society returning to its isolationist stance and acting to protect the religion.
Winds of War
Membership: Familial or close friend recommendation, interview, and demonstration required
Length of Service: Lifetime
Requirements: Martial knowledge in at least one ranged weapon and one melee weapon, or knowledge
of supporting warfare skills (leadership, siege engines, etc.) required.
Body Goals: Spread the Dosem religion by means of force and coercion to the other cultures on Thistledown, and to defend the faith against the heretics.
